Climate change needs to be taken seriously

Rob Marris, Wolverhampton South West's Labour MP has today criticised the Labour Government over climate change calling their record woeful.

Mr. Marris said in a debate in the House of Commons yesterday that one of the biggest challenges facing the UK and the world is climate control. He then one to criticise the Government by saying "...their record on dealing with effects and adapting to climate change is coming is woeful."

Colin Ross, the Liberal Democrat candidate for Wolverhampton South West in 2005 said "I am glad to see Mr. Marris is aware of the environmental impacts that society is having, I hope that he can force the Government to take the issue of climate change more seriously. The Liberal Democrats have a long consistent record of campaigning for better environmental legislation and reducing our carbon emissions and reducing climate change."
