600,000 more families waiting for social housing under Labour4.19.00pm UTC (GMT +0000) Wed 21st Feb 2007 At Prime Minister's Question time this afternoon, Liberal Democrat Leader Menzies Campbell challenged Tony on why there are 600, 000 additional families on waiting lists for social housing. Mr Blair refused to agree with this figure, but pledged to invest more in social housing the future after being pressed further by Mr Campbell over the plight of families currently in "appalling temporary accommodation".
