Lib Dems call for a sustainable New Street Station

Lib Dem Paul Tilsley has called for the new New Street Station to be at the cutting edge of sustainability.

Councillor Paul Tilsley has called for the new New Street rail station to be at the cutting edge of sustainability. The new station should be fit for the 21st Century and something that Birmingham can be proud of.

Deputy Council Leader Paul Tilsley pledged to do his best to ensure that the New Station is sustainable. He was speaking at the Council meeting on 26 February 2008, after the announcement that Birmingham's New Street Station will be getting a £598 million revamp. Design details are currently being worked out and the project could begin as early as 2009.
