Support our road safety campaign

As part of our ongoing commitment to the residents of Birmingham, we are seeking improvements to the way that roads and neighbourhoods are policed.

I call on West Midlands Police to:

  • Prioritise neighbourhood policing
  • Ring fence neighbourhood teams so that they do not get pulled onto other operations
  • Improve local communication through public engagement sessions
  • Enable Traffic Officers and Neighbourhood Teams to work together to target dangerous driving
  • Re-prioritise the “Road Harm Reduction Team” to tackle unsafe parking, speeding and dangerous driving
  • Maximise the use of third party reporting systems
  • Publicise cases to gain media attention and raise awareness of progress being made
