Speaking on the chaotic scenes from Parliament last night, Liberal Democrat prospective parliamentary candidate for Birmingham Ladywood in the upcoming general election, Lee Dargue, said:
"Regardless of the embarrassing scenes in the House of Commons last night, one thing remains true - Birmingham Ladywood still has only an abstention on its record in Parliament in regard to a ceasefire in Gaza.
"Myself and the Liberal Democrats are steadfast in the need for an immediate, bilateral ceasefire, with a 2-state solution, securing peace for Israel and a recognised state of Palestine.
"Many people I've spoken to in Ladywood are horrified that we don't have clear political direction at the moment, in calling for an immediate ceasefire - I remain on record in offering that leadership."
