Birmingham Liberal Democrats are proud to support "Brumwish"
This year, Birmingham Liberal Democrats are proud to support the Brumwish campaign.
Cllr Roger Harmer wrote to all councillors ahead of the full council meeting to invite them to bring an unwrapped gift to the meeting, and many councillors were delighted to support the cause and bring a gift.
The campaign seeks to provide a present to every single child living in B&Bs or hotels, hostels or refuges. Every single child receiving support from specialist organisations and charities, and every single child being supported by children's centres and charities around the city.
The campaign, promoted by BirminghamLive is being run by Toys4Birmingham; an organisation who will ensure that each gift will find a good home. Other organisation supporting this worthy cause are Thrive Together Birmingham, Birmingham Playcare Network, Warwickshire Cricket Foundation (the charitable arm of Warwickshire County Cricket Club) and Birmingham Forward Steps and the Birmingham Mail.
