Following the resignation of West Midlands Police Chief Constable Craig Guildford, Liberal Democrats have called for his successor to re-new focus on community policing.

Liberal Democrat Leader on Birmingham City Council, Roger Harmer said:

“This is a cautionary tale on the use of AI as an original source. We hope that the next Chief Constable will focus on re-building neighbourhood policing teams across Birmingham and the wider region to ensure that everyone feels safe walking the streets around their home. Neighbourhood Police teams are the core of successful Policing and we hope to see real action in this area - not just words.“
